Chelsea Depault Named Franklin County Superhero at Chamber Breakfast
Greenfield Cooperative Bank is proud to announce that Chelsea Depault, VP – Commercial & Municipal Lending, has been named a local superhero at the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce’s 3rd Annual Super Breakfast.
The event brings community leaders and business owners together to celebrate the people that go above and beyond for their neighbors; recognizing the quiet acts of compassion that make a Franklin County resident worth celebrating.
“[Franklin County’s] filled with some of the kindest, most dedicated people on the planet,” said Jessye Deane, Executive Director of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce. “Franklin County does not have a superhero shortage; what we have is a recognition shortage. We need to find more opportunities to celebrate the people who make Franklin County special.”
Depault’s recognition is well-deserved, as she is “a superhero to so many of us,” said Northfield Recreation Commission Director Stacy Bond. As an active member of the local community, Depault undertakes many roles, including being a Director of The Board at Community Action Pioneer Valley and is a committee member of the Recreation Commission in the Town of Northfield, where she resides. Depault also volunteers for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Western Mass in their Lunch Buddies Program, befriending “a Little” and making a big difference to yet another persons’ life.
At the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Depault worked tirelessly to secure SBA PPP loans for local businesses, helping many business owners stay afloat during a time of uncertainty. She also works closely with Franklin County Community Development Corporation, sharing her financial expertise, and offers assistance to low-income residents in filing their taxes.
“I have known Chelsea since she started at the bank as a teller, then in accounting department, an analyst, and now a Vice President and Commercial Lender,” said Depault’s colleague, Shannon Menko. “I saw all the work and dedication she put into everything that she has accomplished, and I am so proud of her!”
